Mediation

Mediation can be an effective way of handling a dispute that might otherwise need to be litigated through costly court-proceedings. It is a form of alternative dispute resolution that is facilitated by a neutral third party (i.e. a mediator). If successful, mediation is more cost-effective than traditional litigation and provides a quicker resolution and better privacy.

A good mediator can help to clarify issues, identify differences, and negotiate a resolution that is acceptable to all parties.

Jonathan Speigel, one of the founding partners of Speigel Nichols Fox LLP, has been conducting mediations since 1996 and has acted as a mediator in over 200 mediations. He handles a wide range of mediation issues, including matters relating to business law, employment, wills, and construction.
